Sports Economics: USF Prof Dan Rascher Talks Future Of NFL, MLB, NBA NHL And The Pandemic A live talk with the legendary University of San Francisco Sports Economics Professor and Economics Consultant Dan Rascher on sports during and after the pandemic. Set for 3 PM to 4 PM PST on here and Zennie62 on YouTube, Mr. Rascher started off by fielding questions about his involvement in the City of Oakland vs. Oakland Raiders Lawsuit. Dan's name was mentioned twice by Bruce Simon (the lawyer for the City of Oakland) as the economist who wrote that Oakland was the best choice for a new NFL team. Then, Dr. Rascher turned to talk about how the Pandemic would alter sports economics. "Sports," he said, "will be the last to come back after the Pandemic." He also shared that many of his University of San Francisco students who had jobs and internship jobs in sports were released or put on furlough because of COVID-19 and the shelter-in-place policies around the world.
