Cam Newton Car Accident Report Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton was involved in a two car accident that caused two traverse process fractures in his lower back. The accident happened as his pickup was travel south on Church Street near Bank of America Stadium. A driver in a sedan was facing west on Hill Street and the two cars collided at the intersection of those two avenues and next to the on ramp to westbound I-277. Newton is in the hospital as of this time.
