David Stern NBA Commissioner Who Backed Warriors Move From SF To Oakland Dies David Stern passes away of a brain hemorrhage today and will be missed by many as the architect of the NBA’s success. I not only interviewed Stern at the 2012 Golden State Warriors Arena Kick Off Party, but twice ran into him while in Las Vegas for CES. When I asked him about the problems with gambling with respect to any move of a sports team to Las Vegas, he dismissed them, and then said “The Raiders are moving to Las Vegas. Get over it.” Stay tuned.
