If Joe Biden's Accident Made Him Miss The Inauguration, Would Kamala Harris Be President? Rick Gates President-Elect Joe Biden had an accident playing around with one of his dogs. The result was a hairline fracture. What went through my mind was if we in danger of losing him as President-Elect? Would Vice President Elect Kamala Harris replace him? Well, according to my guest Former 2016 Trump Campaign Deputy Manager Rick Gates, the answer is not necessarily. As Gates explained in our wide-ranging interview on Monday, Basically, it works like this: Rick says that the Democratic Party could pick someone else to be voted on by the Electoral College electors on December 14th, if Biden were unable to serve. But if President-Elect Biden made it past the Electoral College, then we look at Congressional Certification. If something happened to Biden before January 6th, then the House Of Representatives gets to pick - anyone. It could even be someone like former President Obama. But if something happened to President-Elect Biden between January 6th and January 20th, then Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris would be President of The United States of America. Now, we're all on Biden Foot watch. Once Biden's well, let's make sure he sticks to simple activities and avoids wrestling his dogs. Stay tuned.
