Dan Kalb Oakland Councilmember Calls Las Vegas Raiders Traitors Talks Oakland A's Howard Terminal - Video
Dan Kalb Oakland Councilmember Calls Las Vegas Raiders Traitors Talks Oakland A's Howard Terminal As part of a longer 42 minute video, Oakland District One Councilmember Dan Kalb talked about the future of professional sports development in Oakland. While he focused the lions share of his comments on the Oakland A's effort to build a stadium at either Howard Terminal or the Oakland Coliseum, Kalb (who's running for re-election) called the relocating Oakland Raiders now Las Vegas Raiders "traitors". On the matter of the Oakland A's Kalb expressed some confusion as to what the A's really wanted, because they want both Howard Terminal and the Coliseum Complex. That said, Kalb remarked that he wanted to make certain the City of Oakland had an advantage in the negotiations for such project considerations as community benefits. Regarding other sports, Kalb also said that he would "love to see a woman's NBA team in Oakland," and expressed the idea that the Warriors would or should be open to such an idea, as it would show that the organization truly was a "bay area" focused one, and not just San Francisco. Stay tuned.
