Oakland A's Dave Stewarts Wife Says They Were 1st To Think of WNBA At Coliseum - No, Kaplan Was For some reason, Dave Stewart and his wife have taken off on a rant that in total, the Oakland City Council has been unfair to them in their quest to own part of the Oakland Coliseum land. Then, they have attacked Oakland Councilmember Rebecca Kaplan as stealing what they say was their idea that the WNBA should be and can be at the Oakland Coliseum Arena. My production where 14 of 15 Oakland Mayoral Candidates came to talk about their plans for the future of pro sports in Oakland. As you can see, Kaplan was the one to push for the WNBA in Oakland. Then, later, she worked with the African American Sports and Entertainment Group to work to make that a reality. They're close to the finish-line. And Dave Stewart and wife had nothing to do with it. Not that Dave and Lonnie can't make their own magic, but they need to focus on better Oakland civic relations first. Just the facts. Stay tuned.
