Dave Kaval Told Zennie Abraham Oakland A's Made Las Vegas Land Offers Weeks Before Review Journal - Video
Dave Kaval Told Zennie Abraham Oakland A's Made Las Vegas Land Offers Weeks Before Review Journal On February 21st, the Las Vegas Review Journal ran an article behind a paywall with the headline "A’s have offers on at least 4 potential Las Vegas stadium sites". Moreover, the Review Journal 's Mich Akers claims to quote an unnamed "team representative" as the news source. The Las Vegas Review Journal could have saved itself the work and used the Zennie62 YouTube / Oakland News Now interview with Oakland Athletics President Dave Kaval from a full four weeks ago, where Kaval introduced the same news. As the video shows, Kaval said that the organization had put in offers on several sites, but did not reveal the locations of the lands in question. As to the deadline, Kaval remarked that there are parallel paths between Las Vegas and Oakland, but was not sharing when they were going to cut bait on either city for a deal in the other town. But by putting the same information out that was introduced four weeks ago, but after the Final EIR Oakland City Council Meeting, Dave is sending the message that he's not happy with the pace and progress in Oakland. Oakland has not given Kaval the Tax Increment Financing revenue estimates that were to be released three weeks ago. And the City of Oakland has made it known it is still "exploring" rather than implementing creating an EIFD Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District after having the California Legislature and California Governor Gavin Newsom sign SB 293 Skinner into law October 11th, 2019. SB 293 Skinner paved the way for the Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District to be at Jack London Square and for the ballpark and affordable housing. It's clear the Oakland A's are unhappy that the City of Oakland is screwing up. Stay tuned.
