Family, friends, and music contemporaries remember Shock G, from Digital Underground, at a gathering at Frank Ogawa Plaza. Gregory Jacobs, better known as Shock G, was the creative force behind the Oakland hip-hop group whose hits include ‘The Humpty Dance’ and ‘Same Song’. Shock G is better known for the fictional character, Humpty, the nasally voiced MC of Digital Underground, with thick framed glasses and a rubber nose. Digital Underground was also credited with launching the career of legendary rapper, Tupac Shakur (2-Pac).
