Greg Hodge Oakland Mayoral Candidate Interview On Zennie62 Live It's my pleasure to announce that long time Oakland friend and community activist Greg Hodge will be my guest on Zennie62 YouTube on Monday, December 6th, 2021 at 3 PM PST / 6 PM EST. Here's Greg's bio from his website: Gregory Hodge is a social change activist and organizational development consultant with Khepera Consulting. Working as a strategist, meeting designer, racial equity trainer, facilitator, artist, minister and executive coach, Gregory works with a range of groups from small non-profits and foundations to public agencies, particularly school districts and foundations. He is a founding parent of two schools – Ile Omode School and West Oakland Community School. Greg served as the first director of Oakland’s Freedom Schools and founding member of the Bantaba Dance Ensemble. Earlier in his career, he served as the executive director of Urban Strategies Council, Oakland Child Health and Safety Initiative (now Safe Passages) and California Tomorrow. Greg currently serves as the Executive Director for the Executives’ Alliance for Boys and Men of Color. He also works as the Chief Network Officer for the Oakland-based Brotherhood of Elders Network and is a coordinating partner in designing the Healing Generations Institute with the National Compadres Network. His clients include the Association of Black Foundation Executives, The California Endowment and Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation. As a leader in his community, Gregory served two four-year terms as a member of the Oakland Unified School District Board of Education beginning in January 2001, including a year as president of the board. He also served on the Oakland Workforce Investment Board. Greg is a Fulbright-Hayes Fellow, recipient of the Gerbode Fellowship and board chair of the Rockwood Leadership Institute. He is a proud father of five, active gardener and lives in West Oakland. I look forward to a conversation about Oakland and his run for Mayor of Oakland on Monday afternoon. Stay tuned.
