A Zennie62 Oakland News Now YouTube vlog The Cleveland Browns GM Andrew Berry and what is said about him often reveals more about emotions and perceptions of the commenter than it does about his actual performance and/or objective reality. Berry is yet another GM that I scouted as a college prospect. He was a fringe pro prospect as a 4 year Harvard CB;, earning All-Ivy League honors 3 times. While there he got a Bachelor's degree in economics and a Master's degree in computer science. He became a Scouting assistant with the Indianapolis Colts (2009−2010) During Berry's tenure in Indianapolis, the Colts won four AFC South titles, made 5 postseason appearances and advanced to Super Bowl XLIV. Berry was only 33 and the youngest NFL GM when he was named General manager & executive vice president of football operations of the Browns. This has been a headline filled off-season for Cleveland: 1st they acquired Amari Cooper in a trade of picks with the Cowboys. Then, they made most consequential and controversial signing off the off-season, trading several picks for Deshaun Watson. So, Berry’s unafraid of risk. He likes numbers and probabilities, but he uses data to take risks that he thinks are wise. They like players who are younger, whenever possible. An example, CB and Libra Martin Emerson was born 9/27/2000, noted DE and Virgo Alex Wright, September 5, 2000, and noted WR and Sagittarius David Bell was born December 14, 2000 the 3 are still 21. But perhaps the rookie who’ll have the greatest instant impact is Perrion Winfrey, DT, Oklahoma who joins Taven Bryan, Jordan Elliott and Tommy Togiai. I think he’s out-snapping most of the incumbents by mid-season.
