Cynthia Frelund’s Legs The Star On NFL GameDay Like ESPN’s Ashley Brewer With Short Skirts For Ratings Continuing a tradition started by Fox News in the first decade of the 21st Century, the NFL Network had one of its female anchors Cynthia Frelund put on a short skirt to show her great legs. Why? Ratings. It’s something that has been reignited by ESPN where nighttime anchor Ashley Brewer has gained a fan base in part due to her habit of putting on short skirts. Let’s face it. We notice. And we talk about it. On “The View” some have complained that Alyssa Farah Griffin’s short skirts are “too much” for viewers. But let’s be honest: the complaining was from women by far and less by far from men. The visual gets folks talking about the show. It works. The “ploy” was a standard on TV during the 60s and in this century, it has been used by Fox News, The Weather Channel, The View, ESPN, and now The NFL Network. Go short or go home, without a show, it seems, because of poor ratings. Stay tuned.
