DeAndre Baker NY Giants 2019 NFL Draft 1st Round Pick From Georgia Armed Robbery, Assault? Why? Baker became a millionaire when the NY Giants drafted him in the 2019 NFL Draft 1st Round. Now, his has turned himself in for armed robbery. What happened and why? Reports go like this: from CNN: “Baker and Quinton Dunbar, a cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks, were at a house party Wednesday where several attendees allege the two football players stole thousands of dollars in cash from them as well as valuable watches while armed with weapons, according to an arrest warrant.” From the BBC: “According to the police arrest warrant , the incident occurred after an argument broke out at the house party, where guests were playing cards and video games. Baker allegedly took out a gun before he, Dunbar and another man - described as wearing a red mask - started taking valuables and cash from people. The man in the red mask is not fully identified in the reports. Baker allegedly asked this person to shoot one witness, but the red masked man did not do so. All three then made off in separate vehicles - a Mercedes Benz, a Lamborghini and a BMW.” The NFL must have a real system for managing its players off season lives. Stay tuned.
