Mudlab Cafe 440 Grand Oakland Struggles To Stay Open Amid Adams Point Vandalism, Theft - Video

Mudlab Cafe 440 Grand Oakland Struggles To Stay Open Amid Adams Point Vandalism, Theft On Instagram The Cafe reports: This is the third time we have had our windows smashed. It is the fifth time we have been robbed. We have also suffered graffiti and vandalism. So far, the damages to the business have cost us over 10,000 dollars out of pocket and close to 30,000 for our insurance company— which dropped our coverage forcing us to pay three times as much a month for insurance. The city of Oakland has offered hardly any assistance. We need help from the police and city officials if we want to stay in business. We hope that by providing free food, free coffee, lake cleanups, affordable zero waste groceries etc to the community we would qualify for city assistance— doing business in Oakland will be impossible without a stop to the vandalism and theft we are facing. thank you so much for all the kind messages and offers to help. Any donations made to our Venmo account @mudlaboak will be used to cover the insurance deductible and associated costs. We so appreciate the outpouring of support!* Again Oakland needs to implement AB 464 now and gain money to build Oakland Small Business back to health and security. This is outrageous. Stay tuned.
