Steve Burton AKA Jason Morgan Fired From General Hospital For Vaccine Refusal A shocking event happened while General Hospital was on today. One of its stars, Steve Burton, who plays Jason Morgan and has a 30 year history with the show, was fired for refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19. “I know there’s been a lot of rumors and speculation about me and [the show],” he said in a November 23 Instagram post, “and I wanted you to hear it from me personally. Unfortunately, General Hospital has let me go, because of the vaccine mandate” that was put in place to safeguard the cast and crew from COVID-19. I did apply for my medical and religious exemptions, and both of those were denied, which, ya know, hurts,” he added. “But this is also about personal freedom to me. I don’t think anybody should lose their livelihood over this.” It seems like a lot to lose over not getting vaxxed. Perhaps Steve will come around.
